Freedom in the City with Patrick O'Flynn

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting Patrick O’Flynn, Chief Political Commentator at the Daily Express, for our first Freedom in the City of 2012. Patrick has been a reporter at several newspapers including the Hull Daily Mail, the Birmingham Post, the Sunda…y Express, and was awarded Yorkshire Journalist of the Year in 1991.

The Daily Express is the only British newspaper to come out in support of leaving the European Union. In January 2011 the newspaper’s own campaign gave people of the UK the opportunity to add their names to a petition addressed to the Prime Minister in favour of Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.The Campaign attracted a great deal of support with around 370,000 signatures to their petition in its first week. Come and hear Patrick talk about the excellent work the Daily Express are doing in fighting for our freedom from the EU.

Admission is free, but there will be a collection at the end to cover costs.
