Roger Helmer MEP holds Climate Change Conference in Brussels

Roger Helmer MEP, our Hon. Chairman, hosts a climate change conference in Brussels today.  Roger is shown here with Maggie Thauersköld, a renowned Swedish blogger, and Fred Goldberg, a leading climate expert, at a dinner last night in Brussels.  We shall be reporting on the conference shortly.

Few politicians have done as much as Roger to help turn public opinion round on Al Gore's claims that climate change is principally caused by human activity.  This conference marks another step in his work of exposing climate alarmist claims to rational examination and discussion.

Whichever way the Irish voted, the key fact is that the EU CONstitution has no democratic mandate in the UK

Unlike the arrogant and anti-democratic politicians for whose benefit the European Union exists, anti-EU people do not ignore or disrespect the will of the electorate, so, if the Irish have finally been browbeaten, bullied and bribed in to finally giving the "Yes" vote demanded of them by politicians on the EU gravy train, that is a matter for them.

The key fact now, though, is that the EU CONstitution Treaty of Lisbon has no democratic mandate whatsoever from the people of the United Kingdom.  It is that fact which the Conservative Party will need to address if it is to gain the trust and respect of the British people.  The truth is that now, more than ever, we'd be BETTER OFF OUT of the corrupt, costly and anti-democratic EU Empire.

Daniel Hannan has confirmed that he will be the speaker at The Freedom Dinner on Monday 5th October in Manchester. Roger Helmer has also confirmed that he will chair the event.

The ever rising costs of the European Union

Britain's payments to the European Union will soar by almost 60 per cent next year, according to figures "buried" in government documents.

Patrick Hennessy's article in The Telegraph explained that the Treasury statistics show that the UK's net contribution to the EU will increase from £4.1 billion this year to £6.4 billion in 2010/11.

Roger Helmer MEP warns us about the dangers of the European Arrest Warrant.

Next April, Britain is expected to sign up to the next stage of the European Arrest Warrant (there's always a next stage with any aspect of European integration).  This is called Schengen Information II.  It will ensure that anyone against whom a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) is issued will be detained and deported automatically.

The Freedom Zone

The Freedom Association invites you to The Freedom Zone. The Freedom Zone is an event on the fringe of the Conservative Conference 2009 in Manchester. It is outside the security zone so anyone is welcome to attend and entry is free.

It will take place on the 5th and 6th October at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, just yards away from Manchester Central (GMEX), where the main conference is being held.

There is a very exciting line up of speakers, with plenty to see at all times over the two days, as well as evening events. The Circle Foyer with be a hub of excitement as the setting of the 'Westminster Village Fete,' which will consist of a variety of stalls and campaigns as well as games and competitions to get involved in. There is also a cash bar and the venue has spectacular views across Manchester.
