It is a sign of the times. If you don't subscribe to a left-wing, woke orthodoxy, you are beyond the pale. You shouldn't hold any role in public life, and even if you are not in public life, you should still be fired from your job. You are an outcast. You are the lowest of the low. You can't possibly criticise the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. All they want is racial equality. What's wrong with that? There is, of course, nothing wrong with that. Indeed, it is what everyone should want. But if you delve into BLM, you discover a sinister movement which should be scrutinised.Read more
The following article by Andrew Allison, Head of Campaigns, was published on Brexit-Watch.org's website yesterday.
I APPRECIATE that the Police have a difficult job to do. There are plenty of idiots out there who at normal times feel that the law doesn’t apply to them. They don’t change their behaviour just because we are in the grip of a pandemic.
The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, to give it its full title, is emergency legislation. The Police would have had very little input into the drafting of it, and have been left with the task of enforcing the new powers that they have been given. Responding to the proposals agreed by the cabinet at Chequers yesterday, Andrew Allison Head of Campaigns at The Freedom Association, said:
"What Theresa May and her fellow Remainers railroaded through cabinet yesterday - her so-called third way - could very easily be a third rail for the Conservative Party. The common rulebook for goods means that we will effectively remain in the single market for goods. It means that some 90 per cent of British businesses who do not export will have to stick to EU rules.Read more
On 22nd May 2017, 22 people were brutally murdered at Manchester Arena. Below is an article I wrote on 24th May last year. I republish it as I believe it still has relevance today.
We need to fight much harder to extinguish this barbarous Islamist evil
I am still very angry. It’s an anger that refuses to go away despite a good night’s sleep. I can’t get the image of Saffie-Rose Roussos, an eight year-old girl who had her life in front of her, out of my head. She had just enjoyed what was probably the best evening of her young life. She was allowed to stay up late and see her favourite singer at a pop concert. She would have been high as a kite with sheer exuberance. I can imagine her walking out of the auditorium thinking that life can’t get any better than this.Read more
If you haven't heard about this, prepare yourself. We live in such a politically correct world that even the most harmless joke can mean you will lose your job and will be thrown into the outer darkness forever.
Prof. Richard Ned Lebow, 76, was in a packed lift at a convention in San Francisco. When the bell on the lift sounded that it had reached a floor, Prof. Lebow said "ladies lingerie". It was classic "Are you being served?", the hit comedy series that used to air on BBC1. But Dr Simona Sharoni, a professor of women's and gender studies at Merrimack College, Massachusetts, and one of her colleagues didn't like the joke. And they weren't going to leave it there.Read more
