On the eve of the second anniversary of the EU referendum, the independent Labour Peer, Lord Stoddart of Swindon has criticised the Government for its: “negativity and failure to make clear the many benefits the UK will enjoy outside of the European Union.  The British people had a vision of a positive future outside of the EU, when they bravely voted for Brexit on 23^rd June 2016.  It is a about time the Government did too!”

Lord Stoddart said: “It really is very disappointing that it has to be the American Ambassador who is reminding us of what a great country we are and of the optimistic future we can look forward to outside of the EU.  He is absolutely right to be dismayed at the defeatism we, as a nation, are exhibiting towards Brexit. It is high time that our rather negative Government, which seems to regard the negotiations with the EU as some sort of damage limitation exercise, started being a cheer leader for the benefits of leaving the EU, not least the £10.5 billion net and rising that we will no longer have to pay to be in this failing economic bloc.

“The passage of the EU (Withdrawal) Bill through both Houses of Parliament this week is hugely significant because it means that the European Communities Act 1972, which made the EU supreme over Westminster, will be repealed.  In other words, despite the endless anti-democratic wailing of the Remain brigade, there is no going back, we are leaving the EU and re-establishing the supremacy of our own Government and Parliament.  Not before time!”

Rory Broomfield has decided to step-down from his twin roles of Director of The Freedom Association (TFA) and Director of the Better Off Out Campaign. For the past six years, Rory has been at the heart of the effort to put the positive case for the UK to leave the EU and has made a significant contribution to the success of the Brexit cause.

We may not have the £billions of Soros, but what we have is passion. It was that passion and sheer hard work that won us the referendum in 2016. But because the forces of Remain have united to thwart the largest democratic vote in the history of our great country, we need to roll-up our sleeves and fight again for Brexit.

Once again, The Freedom Association is taking the lead. We plan to hold street stalls to raise awareness of why we voted Leave on 23rd June 2016. We intend to galvanise Leave voters to put pressure on their MPs to ensure we have a proper Brexit - not Brexit in name only.

In the coming weeks we will be visiting Loughborough to talk to Nicky Morgan’s constituents. We will also be in Totes (Sarah Wollaston), Broxtowe (Anna Soubry), and a raft of Labour seats that voted solidly to leave, but have Remainer MPs who want to render the Leave vote meaningless.

The independent Labour Peer and Better Off Out supporter, Lord Stoddart of Swindon, has criticised the Electoral Commission for what he believes is their ‘cravenly caving in’ to pressure from Remainer MPs and activists over the re-investigation of Vote Leave’s funding of ‘BeLeave’ during the referendum campaign.

It's fair to say that Tony Blair was not on top form this morning during his interview on BBC Radio 4's Today programme. John Humphreys was all over him like a rash, pointing out the inconsistencies of his arguments and reminding him of an important word: democracy. Blair didn't even rule out a third referendum if the second one didn't go his way.

Over the Christmas and New Year period we saw yet more delusional displays of remoanerism by numerous Lords and other entitled individuals. They still don't understand the EU and what it is turning into. We need to continue the fight for a clean Brexit, argues Rory Broomfield

Tony Blair is determined to stop Brexit. We knew this months ago when we decided to set-up our 'Stop Blair' campaign. If you read the Daily Mail this morning, you can see that our former Prime Minister is at it again. 

Speaking at the Concordia Annual Summit in New York, he described Brexit as "a self-harming act". When asked directly if he thinks it is possible to undo Brexit, he said he didn't know, but suggested that the vote could be reversed. And we know he has been doing his best to reverse it.
