The Freedom Association responds to Katy Bourne, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner
On 27 November we wrote to Katy Bourne, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, asking her to order an investigation into the policing methods used outside All Saints Centre in Lewes on Saturday 25 November 2017 which resulted in the cancellation of a talk by Katie Hopkins. Ms. Bourne replied to us with a factually inaccurate letter earlier this week which we have replied to today. A number of serious crimes were committed by the violent mob that assembled in the graveyard outside All Saints Centre. Those who had to run the gauntlet of this violent mob are demanding justice, and they are not going to politely go away until they get the justice that they deserve.

I have been sent the video below which was taken after the protesters illegally forced their way into All Saints Centre, Lewes in search of Katie Hopkins. Katie, though, had already left the building.
The woman who claims that she had tickets is Marina Pepper, who the festival organiser thinks organised many of the thugs to come down. I have been told that despite her protestations, she did not have a ticket to attend the talk.

In the middle of October I was invited to give an interview for BBC Sussex about Katie Hopkins. It's not the first interview I have given about her, and as I have discovered over the last two days, it wasn't my last. She is someone who brings out the worst in people, irrespective of whether you agree with her or not. She is deliberately provocative; she stirs up trouble when perhaps it would be wiser to keep one's counsel. But, no matter what we think about her, she has a right to free speech.
