Responding to the Supreme Court's decision yesterday, Andrew Allison, Head of Campaigns at The Freedom Association, said:
"We are delighted with the Supreme Court's ruling. Daniel and Amy McArthur, the bakery's owners, did not discriminate against Gareth Lee because he was gay when they refused to decorate a cake with the slogan 'Support Gay Marriage'. They are not turning away other gay customers, or treating them any differently to other customers. They are not discriminating against any of their customers in any way.
"It is a victory for freedom; for not being forced into doing something you fundamentally disagree with. It is also an important ruling that means that those of other religions will no longer be prosecuted for refusing to do something that goes against their core beliefs."
